Arizona Wild Fires; More Arson?

Author: Lance Winslow

In watching these fires in Arizona and understanding the arson factor from the largest fires of the last half-decade there, it would appear that these are in fact arson started. We remember the big fire, which over took Showloh and that was started by an American Indian BLM worker.

Then we had a recent fire this year; same forest and it too burned towards the ski resort town. Which buy the way if you ever take HWY 60 in Arizona from Globe to the top of the hill you will be blown away at the view, what a perfect area to release a Condor into the Wild. It looks like a mini-Grand Canyon there and it is not little, those mountains are intensive indeed. Arizona Wild Fires; More Arson? Could be.

There are also fires burning in the mountains in New Mexico and they are fairly large as well and drought issues are still a consideration in these regions. Will these fires bring more fire bugs and arsonists out of the wood work to start fires so they can watch them on their Television Sets? And we know there are plenty of arsonists in California, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma.

Will the evening news make too big a deal of these fires and prompt these criminals to make more wildfires, threatening our forests and water supplies in trying to put them out? Please consider this in 2006.
